Is it possible to embed the Asap in the file like Morefunc.xllRegards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna India Kanwaljit September 24, 2008 at 4:33 pm Hi Bastien,May the couple live 1000 years ! Are you planning to make ASAP compatible with Open Office / Star OfficeRegards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna India Bastien September 26, 2008 at 9:23 am Hello Kanwaljit,May you live a 1000 years!First thing, hasn't been done yet. For reasons I'll explain later. You cannot embed ASAP Utilities into your file. If you use the worksheet functions from ASAP Utilities in your worksheet you will need ASAP Utilities in order to (re)calculate them. //www.asap-utilities.com/asap-utilities-worksheet-functions.php#remarks-on-calculationWe do not have plans to make ASAP Utilities compatible with OpenOffice. At this moment Calc and the Open Office programming language differ to much from Excel to create a ASAP Utilities for Calc. //www.asap-utilities.com/asap-utilities-worksheet-functions.phpKind regards, Bastien Kanwaljit September 27, 2008 at 10:51 am Hi Bastien,May the couple live 1000 years ! Thanks for the wish first of all. I wish you because I really want you to live. You are certainly donating some part of yours life to save time of others (which they must be spending on other useful tasks or with their family members like me). So I feel you must be compensated for that. So I wish May the couple Live 1000 years !Ist thing. I will wait for it to happen. If morefunc.xll can do it, it must be donable with ASAP too. You said "If we use the worksheet functions from ASAP Utilities in your worksheet you will need ASAP Utilities in order to (re)calculate them." Ditto ! That's for what I wish it to be embedded / embeddable in the Excel File. Because we embed Morefunc.xll in the excel file it helps to share the file without fearing about the #NAME error as the source of formulas is there. Have you Checked the Morefunc.xllRegards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna India Kanwaljit October 1, 2008 at 12:20 pm Hi Bastien,May the couple Live 1000 years !One more wish. Check out the "Watch Other Cells" Utility by Jan Karl. It is quite unique and useful. If something of this type can be accommodated in ASAPRegards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna Kanwaljit October 11, 2008 at 5:58 am Hi Bastien,May the couple Live 1000 years !Suggestions for enhancement.1. "Delete leading, trailing and excessive spaces" Should be amended to delete any character and not only the spaces. For example when we download bank statements from Net Banking, it usually contains a series of ********* or a series of ————— or ____________, but which are not required more than once or are not required at all. So here is my wish. —A box for character / words to be deleted (User entry based) —4 Check boxes for the user to select. 1 .Delete "Leading" and / or 2. Delete "Trailing" and / or 3. Delete "Excessive" (with an input box for what specified excessive with default value of more than 1 being treated as excessive 4. Delete "All" (Off course it will swich off all the above 3 optons)Regards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna Kanwaljit October 11, 2008 at 10:42 am Hi Bastien,May the couple Live 1000 years !Here again, one more wish ! (Oops ! I am wishing too much :)Refers to "Delete all characters after nth character" Some tweaks may enhance its usage. 1. "Delete all characters before the nth character from the last". (Particularily useful when we have downloaded some data from net regarding banking transactions and the Instrument No column contains cheque nos like this.1124588 / 0254688 122668 / 0254689 0307068845 / 0254690Here the last "n" digits are same i.e., 7, whereas the succeeding digits are not uniform because they are other party's account number. So deleting all character before 7 last characters will do the job.2. "Delete all characters before / after a particular character like "/" in the above example. That would help a lotRegards CA Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna Bastien October 21, 2008 at 2:01 pm Hello Kanwaljit,Thank you for your ideas. Excel will then continue the page numbering throughout the sheets.Kind regards, Bastien
