Microsoft Office Excel is able to work miracles, but in many cases it is sheer drudgery. More than three hundred macros of ASAP Utilities is a great labour-saver and makes the life of every Excel user a lot more pleasant.
This free Excel add-in, developed by a Dutch
programmer, is one of the best kept secrets for experienced Excel users. It is a
collection of new features that has been divided into eighteen different
categories. These macros, that automate individual acts together, help you
quickly remove, merging or copy cells. It does wonders with the sorting of data.
Navigating through the various worksheets is a lot easier and you can track down
empty cells in a range to fill them with the same value.
The list of extras is so long that we could devote pages to the handy short cuts that the programmer has found to make working with Excel faster. Instead, we refer you to the website of ASAP Utilities, which contains not only a complete list of all features and a manual, but also a collection of useful tips. Unfortunately, the whole website in English, but the instruction videos provide a helping hand for those who prefer to be informed in Dutch.
If you frequently work with Excel, ASAP Utilities is a tool that brings help
for most Excel versions. For Excel 97 users there is a separate version
available on the main page. Excel 2003 users must not set their security
to 'high', because it prevents this add-in to do its work. Keep Excel

Excel-gebruikers. Het is een verzameling nieuwe functies die is verdeeld in
achttien verschillende categorieën. Deze macro's, die afzonderlijke handelingen
samenvoegen en automatiseren, helpen u snel cellen te verwijderen, samen te
voegen of te kopiëren. Daarnaast doet het wonderen met sorteren van data. Het
navigeren door de verschillende werkbladen verloopt een stuk vlotter en u kunt
lege cellen in een bereik opsporen om ze te vullen met dezelfde waarde.

Als u regelmatig met Excel werkt, is ASAP Utilities een hulpmiddel dat voor
de meeste Excel-uitvoeringen uitkomst biedt. Voor Excel 97-gebruikers is een
aparte versie beschikbaar op de hoofdpagina. Excel 2003-gebruikers
moeten hun beveiligingsniveau niet op 'extra hoog' zetten, want dit belet deze
add-in om zijn werk te doen. Word Excel de baas met wat

The part in the review about having to change the security level in Excel is not true and therefore I made the font strikethrough. ASAP Utilities is digitally signed and therefore you can have the macro-security in Excel set to high without problems. More detailed information about this is in the User Guide.
